Frontier 64

Coyote Springs, 1881.

The railroad reached town last spring and Cornelius Crane wants the town’s spring. You step off the train with a saddle and three dollars.

About Frontier 64

This is a Western built on the same engine. You ride horses instead of driving cars, the law rides too, and the train runs to a timetable that you can climb aboard. You can ride between the timber buildings of Main Street, a canyon with a trestle bridge, a fort, a ranch, a mission town and a mine.

I’m still working on this one, so you might run into a few rough edges.

  • Twelve missions from four contacts, from a mail coach hold-up to a duel at high noon and a runaway train
  • Horses everywhere, along with stagecoaches, an ore cart and a train you can jump onto from the saddle
  • Deputies who throw lassos, a posse that rides out after you, and the cavalry if you cause enough trouble
  • Cattle drives, horse races at the Double-R and blackjack in the saloon
  • Dust storms, tumbleweeds, a mystery airship, a jackalope and a ghost stagecoach
  • A tune playing wherever you go instead of a radio, and an 1881 look for all the lettering
